Watch your step

The idea for the “Watch your step” project appeared after I slipped on ice, injured my eyebrow and ended up in the hospital. I was told that I was lucky, if I had fallen at a slightly different angle, things could have ended much worse.

After I was discharged from the hospital, I noticed that I began to walk very slowly. I kept my eyes on my feet the whole time and took every step very carefully.

At that moment, the endless stream of thoughts in my head stopped. Previously, my mind constantly wandered and I didn’t notice what was happening around me.

When I had to watch my steps, I noticed that there is beauty in everything, even in dirt and slush.

After I realized that life could end at any moment, I unconsciously began to pay attention to the world around me.
